Does it require power?

The Sofihub hub does need to be connected to power, however, the Sofihub sensors run on batteries.

Is the Sofi Beacon waterproof?

To a degree – yes. The beacon can be taken into the shower but cannot be submerged under water.

Does it require internet?

Sofi-Assistant operates on a 3G/4G mobile network to send alerts and receive software updates. In case of power cuts, Sofihub also has a 4-hour backup power.

The Sofi-Hub and the Sofi-Beacon are available on the Optus 3G/4G mobile network, and on the Telstra mobile network in limited circumstances. We can run a check on the mobile coverage at the residents' address, or you can check it yourself on our website.

Can you have Sofihub if there is more than one person living at the premises?

Sofi-Assistant works best in single occupant homes.

Homes with more than one occupant will have limited functionality.

What is Sofi-Assistant?

Sofihub is a reminder system for seniors that uses motion-based sensors. It is designed to assist with independent living and support for seniors, while also giving their family members peace of mind.

The sensors feed information to an online dashboard. Through this dashboard, family members, carers, or people with permission from the resident can see whether they have accessed their medication, or that they have left the bedroom in the morning.

Not only this, but the Hub can also play reminders to the resident which are completely customisable through the online dashboard. These reminders may be something as simple as a birthday or an appointment reminder, or medication reminders

What is involved in the setup process?

Clear instructions are provided with the Sofi-Assistant to assist with sensor placement and connecting sensors to the hub. No drilling or wiring is required.

What if I miss a reminder from the hub?

Simply press the button on the hub if you miss the reminder and it will repeat the last reminder

Does the hub ever need upgrades?

The hub will self-upgrade when required. There will be no downtime for the resident during this time.

How can I access the dashboard?

When completing a sign up for one of our products or packages, our team member will confirm who the resident would like to have access to the dashboard. When your product arrives, a Sofihub login and password will be provided to use to login to Sofihub online interface and customise the reminders.

There is no limit on how many people can access the dashboard.

Is there a contract for the products?

There is a 24-month contract associated with the Sofi-Beacon, Sofi-Assistant and Sofi-Package. Fee’s do apply if this contract is terminated early.

Is this product covered by any sort of benefits scheme?

Sofi-Beacon, Sofi-Assistant and Sofi-Package are approved for TAC benefit and may also be funded by Consumer Directed Care Packages. If you would like more information about this, please contact our team on 1800 331 241.

Is the product covered by warranty?

Yes, the product comes with a 24-month warranty which covers anything system related that fails within 24 months. User damage is not covered under this warranty.
