On behalf of all of the staff at Southern Phone, we wish to express our support and sympathies for the individuals, families and communities who have been devastated by the bushfires in Tathra, NSW and South-Western Victoria, over the weekend.
It has been estimated that 70 homes and businesses were destroyed in Tathra, and 18 homes, 42 sheds and hundreds of beef and dairy cattle were lost in the townships surrounding Garvoc and Terang in South-Western Victoria as out-of-control bushfires burned.
We'd like to do what we can to assist our customers impacted by the fires, and are currently providing the below services:
Free call diversion: if your home phone service is no longer working due to damage, Southern Phone offers free call diversion to a mobile or fixed line number.
Fee waiver: late fees, break of contract fees and other fees that result from a property destruction may be waived. Activation and reconnection fees may also be waived if customers seek to reconnect their service within 12 months.
Payment extension: those suffering financial hardship as a result of fire damage may apply to have the due date of their bill extended.
Severe financial hardship: in situations where there is severe financial hardship due to the destruction of property, you may apply for Southern Phone to waive your bill.
Should you require the following services, please contact us on 13 14 64, via online chat or email and speak with one of our local staff.
